Through the magic of search engines and tags and hierarchies and all that happy horseshit that makes me want to set something on fire, I am slowly realizing just how good it feels to have people find me, comment, share their thoughts. Tell me what my words mean to them. Tell me they….like me [sniff]
Seriously….I think my heart might explode.
They say that joy is contagious and we should pass it on every chance we get. As I was scouring the internet for something profound to share about joy, I came across this on BrainyQuote.com. It’s from Khalil Gibran:
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
I have no fucking idea what any of that means but in my case, I’m going to assume it means that everything I hate about the World Wide Weird is actually joy in disguise.
And I’m all about joy. I am going to pass it along by paying tribute to those who have sought me out and shared kind words about my blog…how they made me feel worthy and made my heart fill up with…blah blah blah blah….see above bit about exploding organs.
I will now share a few of the more touching comments:
“The content has really mountains my awareness. I am going to save your site and checking for brand spanking new informations.” [How fucking beautiful is that? I especially love the bit about spanking]
“I agree with you an I had sold 75% of my equity unit trusts for the past 2 weeks.” [I have no response to this]
“Look advanced to far added agreeable from you! By the way, how could we communicate?” [How about I get my neighbors twelve-year-old to e-mail you a gnarly virus? Oooops…that doesn’t sound joyful, does it?]
“I reckon something really special in this website.” [I reckon you’re right, cowboy! Why don’t you mosey on down yonder way and fuck yourself? Damn….I did it again.]
“I simply could not depart your site before suggesting that I actually enjoyed the standard info an individual provided to your guests?
Now THAT’S what I’m takin’ about.
Yes, indeed. You like me. You really, really like me.
